Privacy Policy
LunaSleep is a local-first sleep sounds and bedtime companion published by MoonSpace Technology.
1. Information stored on your device
LunaSleep stores favorites, sound mixes, sleep-session start and end times, reminder settings, and app preferences locally on your device. LunaSleep 1.0 does not create a user account or upload sleep records to a MoonSpace Technology server.
2. Audio and health information
LunaSleep does not use the microphone, record you, detect snoring or sleep talking, or claim to identify sleep stages or REM. Built-in sounds are played locally. LunaSleep is a general-wellness product, not a medical device, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
3. Notifications and playback
Notification permission is requested only for user-enabled bedtime reminders and foreground media playback. Reminder settings remain on the device. Users can disable reminders in LunaSleep or Android settings.
4. Advertising and consent
LunaSleep uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform to show clearly labeled banner ads in limited areas of the sound library and reports. Ads are not shown in onboarding, permission setup, reminders, the mixer, during playback, or during an active sleep session.
Depending on region, consent, device settings, and Google’s processing, Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, device and app information, approximate location derived from an IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, consent choices, and ad-performance information to deliver, limit, personalize, secure, and measure advertising.

5. Data sharing and sale
MoonSpace Technology does not sell sleep-session data. Sleep sessions, favorites, reminders, and sound mixes are not intentionally sent to Google for advertising. Data independently processed by Google advertising services is governed by Google’s terms and the user’s available privacy choices.
6. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until the user deletes it or uninstalls the app. Choose Settings → Delete local data to remove favorites, mixes, sleep sessions, reminders, and preferences. Uninstalling LunaSleep also removes private app storage, subject to Android behavior. See the data-deletion guide.
7. Security
LunaSleep uses Android application sandboxing, disables Android backup for app data, minimizes requested permissions, and restricts network traffic to HTTPS. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
8. International processing
Google and its advertising partners may process information in countries other than the user’s country. Their safeguards and legal bases are described in their own privacy materials.
9. Children
LunaSleep is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. MoonSpace Technology does not knowingly operate a LunaSleep server that collects children’s sleep records.
10. User choices and rights
Users can deny notification permission, disable reminders, manage eligible advertising privacy choices, delete local app data, and uninstall LunaSleep. Depending on location, users may have additional privacy rights regarding personal information processed by third parties.
11. Changes
Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where legally required, providing an in-app notice or requesting new consent.
